Your Autistic Life: The Ruminations of an Autistic Man
This is my blog. I masked my autism for the first 50 years of my life. I discovered in March 2023 that I am, in fact, autistic. Prior to this time, my life was mostly okay, but did not make much sense overall. Since my self-diagnosis, my life makes much more sense.

Flipboard: An Ableist Platform
I don’t recommend it for anyone, and especially not for people with mental health conditions. I don’t watch the news on the television anymore. Rather than do this, I used to use Google News. I did this for a long time. It was my main source of news. I tried using the fediverse for this,…

YouTube Channels Peddling Nonsense
I’ve noticed a few of those lately. I find this practice shameful. Do read the entire article. I swear it is all linked together. I’d say the second part is more important than the first, because I think more people have misconceptions about data deletion, but the first part provides some background. Titles Of Nobility…

Declaring One’s Autism Won’t Do Anything To Combat Police Ineptitude
I don’t think that declaring that one is autistic will change anything. I’ve seen lately a bunch of news articles talking about new rules whereby people who have behavioral disabilities, autism in particular, will be allowed to declare their disability so that the police can handle them properly. Before we go any further, let me…

The Conservatives Justices Part of SCOTUS are Sophomoric Idiots
Yep, we’re fucked. I chose my words carefully with that title. Their “reasoning” for the decision granting absolute powers to presidents is equivalent to the work of a confused college sophomore. I knew right away that this decision couldn’t be good for us, but I decided to hold my tongue for a while. I have…

My Take On The Buddhist Virtue of Right Speech
The neurotypical take on Right Speech is a confused mess. I’ve never encountered anyone who will explain Right Speech the way I’m going to explain it. Let’s start with the typical neurotypical explanations. They run like as follows. Right Speech involves four things you should not do: Conversely, there are four things that you should…

When Being Polite Is Merely Superficial
Sometimes being polite to someone is actually just a way to get them off your back. People are strange. Neurotypical people are the strangest. Neurodivergent people who are consciously or not propagating neurotypical habits are also among the strangest. Internalized ableism is a thing. Not so long ago, I sent a message to someone who…

Headphones Review: Sony WH-1000XM4, Soundcore by Anker Life Q30, and TUINYO
I’m reviewing the three pairs of Bluetooth headphones that I own. Promotional image for the Sony WH-1000XM4 It is fairly rare that I can do comparisons, but in this case I can. I’ve bought three pairs of headphones, for different purposes. Spoiler: the Sony WH-1000XM4 are the best. You need to be logged in to…

I’ve Been Nonbinary As Long As I Can Remember
Looking back at my life, the signs were there. I’ve reflected on my life in the article that I link to below. However, I’m continuing the reexamination of my life prior to the realization that I am, in fact, nonbinary. I’ve now come out to three family members as an enby. This is by far…

Stimming Is Life 002
A playlist for those who like to stim to music. One thing I found that 120 beats per minute (BPM) may be close to my limit when I walk. I may have songs that go above this limit, but if they are too fast, then I just hand-dance and forget about walk-dancing. If you want…

Stimming Is Life 001
A playlist for those who like to stim to music. I’m a late-diagnosed autistic, and yes I did self-diagnose. For the longest time I was able to mask, but my cancer lessened my ability. Yet, if I look back at my life, I was stimming years before my cancer. One form of stimming for me…
